Privacy Policy
MarkuprPlus is designed to keep visual feedback under your control. There is no account, no telemetry, and no advertising profile.
Information MarkuprPlus handles
Recordings, narration, screenshots, transcripts, marks, and reports are stored locally on your Mac in the output location shown in the app. Content leaves your Mac only when you explicitly choose a cloud provider or share an export yourself.
Local and optional provider processing
Local Rules and on-device Whisper process report material on your Mac. Ollama, LM Studio, and the optional authenticated CLI companion use loopback connections on your Mac and do not send content to a Trieflow server.
If you select a cloud provider, MarkuprPlus sends only the material needed for that request to the provider you choose. That provider handles the request under its own terms and privacy policy. MarkuprPlus does not silently switch providers.
Credentials, permissions, and retention
Provider keys and the optional companion pairing token are stored in macOS Keychain. macOS asks for Screen Recording access for the source you choose and Microphone access for narration. You can revoke either permission in System Settings.
Session files remain on your Mac until you remove them. You can delete captures, clear app data, revoke permissions, and remove credentials. Optional providers may retain submitted material according to the settings and policy for your account with that provider.
Accounts, analytics, and contact
MarkuprPlus requires no MarkuprPlus account, includes no developer-operated analytics or telemetry, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not track you across apps or websites.
